Quickstart
From sign-up to your first tree in a few minutes.
1. Sign up
Go to app.umtri.io and create an account with your email and a handle. We send a verification link — open it to finish signing up and land in the app. The link expires in 24 hours; you can resend it from the sign-in screen.
Your handle is a one-time choice — a unique name for you, your brand, or your organization. It cannot be changed later.
2. Create a ground
A ground is one project. From the Grounds list, choose New Ground, give it a name, and (optionally) fill in its intent — goal, audience, budget, target date. See Grounds & intent for the details.
3. Add a season
Every tree grows inside a season — a growth chapter like a version or phase. Add your first season so there is a now to plant into.
4. Grow the tree
Plant a trunk (a domain), then branch into limbs, twigs, leaves, and veins. New nodes are added in Plan mode as a draft, then committed once they are real. See Building the tree.
5. Read it back
- Drag the season slider to replay how the project grew.
- Switch between the graph and list views (mobile opens in list).
- Toggle layers — APIs, dependencies, and bugs — and open the in-app How to use guide anytime.
