Umtri.io

Umtri.io draws your project as a tree and shows what it is made of — its information structure, its code structure, and the connections and dependencies between them. A project grows upward and outward over time, and the time slider lets you scrub back and forth through that growth; seasons divide it, so you can look at a single season’s record on its own. When a bug turns up or a change lands, you can check how far it reaches and write a checklist of what needs verifying. It is all there to make a project easier to hold in view.

Tree

A tree grows in five layers: trunk (domains) → limb (features) → twig (modules) → leaf (objects like a class, file, or component) → vein (actions such as a method or function). The rule bends to the project, though. What matters is that the project is laid out in tiers you can read at a glance, and the details differ from one project to the next.

Season

A season is the setting a project grows in — a version, a phase, a round, whatever suits the project and the way you work. Add a new season and it becomes now, while the one before it turns past. A past season can still be read, but no longer edited. Pick a single season in the sidebar to watch just that season’s growth.
