Grounds & intent

A ground is one project. Set what it is and what it aims for in one place.

Create a ground

From the Grounds list, choose New Ground. Give it a name and a slug — the slug is the URL identifier and is locked once created. You can add a description and an icon now or later.

Intent

Open Edit Ground and fill in the ground’s intent under Intent:

  • Goal — a short line on what this ground aims for.
  • End date — a target date, if any.
  • Budget — free text, e.g. a figure or “internal-only”.
  • AudienceSelf or a named Client.

Only the fields you fill are kept. On the tree, this intent shows read-only at the season’s SEED point — a reminder of what the project was planted for.

Status

A ground can be Active or Archived. Archived grounds collapse into a separate sidebar section and drop out of the global bugs view; their detailed activity is locked until you set them Active again.

Editing intent later never disturbs the tree — it lives on the ground, not on nodes.
